Warranty Policy

POSIO Warranty Policy

Warranty Coverage:
POSIO ensures that all products, parts, and components are free from material and workmanship defects under normal use, in compliance with the approved specifications. The warranty period covers 12 Months inbuilt and can be extended through purchase of additional warranty for 24 months from the invoice date. For extended warranty options or additional terms, customers can contact POSIO support.


Service Terms and Conditions

1. Limited Warranty

Exclusions from Coverage:
Warranty and repair services will not be provided under the following conditions:
a. Damage caused by natural disasters (e.g., fire, water, earthquakes, or severe weather).
b. Electrical surges, environmental abnormalities, or unexpected voltage/current issues.
c. Improper product usage, maintenance, assembly, or disassembly.
d. Cosmetic damages like scratches or cracks that do not affect functionality.
e. Issues related to software installation or settings.
f. Alteration or removal of the serial number label.
g. Damage caused by computer viruses or unauthorized software.
h. Repairs attempted by unauthorized third-party service providers.
i. Failure to follow safety instructions specified in the system label.
j. Accidental incidents such as data loss from hardware failure.
k. Use of non-copyright-protected software.
l. Peripherals or accessories not included in the product package or beyond supported specifications.


2. Acknowledgment

  • Dead On Arrival (DOA): Products that fail within 21 days (air shipments) or 42 days (sea shipments) from the receiving date are classified as DOA.
  • Customer Induced Damage (CID): Damages caused by the customer during usage will void the warranty and incur additional charges.
  • No Defect Found (NDF): If no defects are found during inspection, the customer will be notified, and shipping/inspection charges may apply.

3. Service Classifications

  1. General RMA:
    Applies to items within warranty that are repairable and not discontinued or out of stock.

  2. Unserviceable RMA:
    Applies to items that are discontinued or unrepairable. Within-warranty items will be replaced with upgraded models or equivalent alternatives.


4. Turn-Around Time

  • RMA Completion:
    Repairs are typically completed within 30 working days from the date the product arrives at the POSIO RMA facility.

  • RMA Number Submission:
    Customers must submit the required shipping documents within two months of receiving the RMA number.


5. Shipping Fees

  • DOA Returns:
    Inspection and return shipping fees are charged to the customer for CID or NDF cases.

  • RMA Repairs:

    • Inbound shipping (to POSIO) is the customer’s responsibility.
    • Outbound shipping (to the customer) is covered by POSIO for warranty repairs.
